If you're a good grow tent steward, like myself, you'll want to constantly be aware of the temperature and humidity of the grow tent. A common question we get here at Smart Grow Tents is not only what type of thermometer should be used in a grow tent, but also where it should be placed or have readings taken.
It's a complicated question, so let's start with some basics.
- You'll want to read the temperature regularly at different places. Often you'll want to know temperature at soil/root level (water temp if using hydroponics) and also at the top of the canopy near the light.
- You'll probably want a dual use thermometer that also takes the humidity (hygrometer)
- You'll probably want 2-4, possibly more if you have a larger grow tent
